Even though I have a smile on my face, it’s been a rough few weeks. If you’ve been keeping up to date with my daughter (she’s talked about it more than me), she’s already mentioned about how it’s been a struggle with my little dog, and last week, he crossed the rainbow bridge. After a little over 14 years, he’s no longer here. It’s so weird coming home to an empty house, and it’s so quiet. There’s no one waiting for me at the door, and no one getting excited for his food bowl, or even when I say anything about going for a walk. It feels so completely empty. I know that I will eventually adjust, but after losing both of my parents, I was hoping I could catch a little break from this emotional roller coaster.
