Getting Ready for Fall & a Linkup

Even though it’s still technically summer, fall is approaching us, and fast. Of course, that also means, a new wardrobe! I used to love going back to school shopping with my kids, because my daughter was always excited about her new outfits. Of course it could eventually get a little pricey, but it was so worth it to see the smile on her face. My son on the other hand hated new clothes, especially new shoes. He hated getting new shoes to the point where, one year I had to physically throw out his shoes and tell him he would have to go to the bus stop barefoot because he had to put on his new shoes. Sure enough he went to the bus stop barefoot and I noticed it so I had to give him his old shoes back (I didn’t throw them out yet, I kept them for back up). As he got older he definitely got better with that kind of stuff.

Well, now that my kids don’t go to school anymore I’m treating myself. However, most of this outfit was bought on a budget. The shoes were $15 at TJ Maxx, the pants were $17 at Macy’s, and the jacket was $27 from Macy’s.
